Creative Ways to use ART for Spreading Joy

[Translate]

What are you Passionate about?

Anyone can make a Difference, the question is will you?

We over complicate it with our desires to do more, we negate the impact because we feel that we should spend more, we just stop doing because we think why bother.

It’s true… so many are right there and don’t realize that they can easily move beyond those thoughts and feelings.

I want to introduce you to Lucy who is making an impact all over this world.

She is super talented and uses what she loves for Spreading Joy to people!

We often focus on what we cannot do or don’t have and miss out on the opportunity to make a difference for others.  Lucy reminds us all that we can use what we have to make a difference right where we are and beyond!

Please take a few minutes and check out the video below:

I hope that you’ll keep up with what Lucy is doing via Instagram and encourage her by following her here:

Instagram:  @juicylucyluz – Artist, writer, seeker, volunteer and Art Abandonment Fairy – you can also find her on Facebook at http://facebook.com/juicylucyluz  If you find any of her Art from one of her many Art Abandonment Fairies, I hope you’ll Instagram it and tag her in it! #ArtAbandonment

What are you passionate about? What do you love to do?  Leave that in the comments and we can discuss ways you can use it to spread joy to those in your corner of the world!

Be inspired to make a difference with ART

Tell me, how are you Spreading Joy today?  Do you get your children involved?  What are their strengths? Teach them to use it for others.

Do you know of anyone else Spreading Joy with their passion or using what they can to make a difference?  If so, please do let me know as I would love to feature them on Spreading Joy!

Have Fun Spreading Joy and making a difference!

What a wonderful way to spread more joy! I like to share through writing, and also encourage others in their faith journey by sharing the positive things I see with God working in our lives. I do try to tell people those things to encourage them….even daily sharing prayers or Bible verses with people. Thanks for all you do, Marie, to spread JOY & a great example of a way to live.

Absolutely Miheala! I love when random people smile or wave at me. Once when I was in tears from a horrible event, a guy at the next gas pump smiled and nodded at me, acknowledging my tears. instantly my heart calmed a little. It’s a powerful thing!

What a great idea. Good question to think about too. I use to bake a lot for other people to help spread joy but got away from recently. I still love to bake so maybe I will get back into the business of spreading joy one cookie/cupcake/muffin at a time.

Children are so resourceful Jamie. They are amazing at spreading joy and making a difference if we help navigate them towards that. Both of my children usually tell me – awww mom, spreading joy is your thing but my heart is always overflowing when we are together and they naturally do things for others without even realizing they are. When they travel, they think of others first, they do little things naturally and don’t even realize it.

I’ve found that the easiest way for me to spread joy right now is to just take my infant to the grocery store. She apparently has a gift for smiling at the people who need a little extra sunshine in their day. When I get the chance, I’m a big fan of Random Acts of Kindness and Paying it Forward.

I love smiling babies Lauren. I always smile, wave back or talk to them when they say hi to me. They are a pure joy and they do make a huge difference! Especially to the elderly that are so often alone, to those that are fighting chronic illness that don’t get out much!

You speak SO much truth in this post. I do often feel like what I’m doing isn’t enough and so maybe I shouldn’t even bother doing it. And just saying that I realize how stupid it is. I don’t know why we are so prone to over complicating every little thing. Or at least I am 🙂

Well Stacey you are not alone. I cannot tell you how many emails I get from people saying they wish they could make more of a difference and the truth is, they can! It doesn’t have to be ginormous, although my heart screams to be able to do something ginormous one day – but the best thing is those daily acts of joy that live in the hearts of the discouraged. that is the biggest impact ever.

Something I try to do is pass along any praise I hear about others. I’ll hear others share compliments about people and try to make a point to let those others know.

This is huge Scott! Most managers only hear complaints and most people never hear nice things about themselves. This is more powerful than most people realize. Just one kind word can linger months in a hurting heart!

I’ve heard it said when we’re driving down the road we only notice car accidents. We never say, “Wow, look at all the absence of accidents.”

The point is we notice problems, so yes, like you said people don’t hear as much encouragement.

We can Kristi! We need to look at what we love, what we are good at and use that! and with so much negativity these days, I thought it would be good to highlight someone doing things to make a difference! since the media doesn’t do that for us.
