Favorite Quotes:
- Your life-changing interaction with Jesus may start in a small, quiet room, but it moves out to a world that desperately needs to connect with Him.
- Bare yourself to God. Put down your masks. Let God see the real you, and let Him change you in the way He wants
- Jesus broke down social walls in order to build a new, open structure.
- Pull yourself away from whatever battles you are fighting these days. Call a truce and spend some peacetime here in the Lord’s presence.
- Many of our best intentions never become realities because we never act on them.
Again, this book is full of refreshing thoughts, ideas and helps to get you going instead of having good intentions.

I am changing the world around my stepping out of my comfort zone (dying to self) and acting out God’s love instead of just reading about it or thinking on it. I know I can live out God’s love by make sacrifices to spend time with people who need someone to be there to lift them up. I can share with them all the wonderful things Jesus did for when I didn’t deserve which can give them hope.
Cherrelle

Marie, I definitely think that one of the first steps in changing the world around you is by changing your world first; becoming the best you that you can possibly offer to God and to others.
This looks like a really great devotional! I really love this quote: “Pull yourself away from whatever battles you are fighting these days. Call a truce and spend some peacetime here in the Lord’s presence.”

I do my best to change the world around me by offering hope to others with chronic illness and disability. Even if I only reach one, the angels rejoice. <3

Sam,
I saw a sign today that I want to send to my daughter in love (a teacher also) that says it takes a great big heart to teach little souls or something to that affect.
Thank you for all that you do in public schools and in the youth group!

Thanks Alison! It really is a great book! We don’t have to fight every battle. That doesn’t make us wimps or a loser, it makes us smart.
thanks for adding to this conversation and for making a difference right where you are
First of all, thank you for doing book reviews! I can’t wait to read this one! As God has led us into fostering a young woman with autism, I’m learning to lay myself before the Lord. I need Him to change my heart and do His work in me- I didn’t realize how impatient I really am at the core. It’s easy to be loving to those who are loving- much more challenging when someone doesn’t return that love. 🙂 I want to learn to BE the message. hugs and blessings Marie-

There is never enough time for good books. 🙂
I think we all struggle with that at times. I know I can come of short and snappy at times. Thanks for adding to this conversation and for being the message right where you are!
