Preparing for Christmas already!
2009 may very well be the hardest Christmas for so many children (and parents) and Spreading Joy Corporation wants to help! Our desire is to be able to give 3 or 4 gifts that are around $10.00 in value to 1,000 children this Christmas – and that takes planning and preparation!
Personally - I’ve decided that this economy will not steal my joy of giving! I’m going to plan ahead and buy gifts for my friends and family. I’m also purchasing 1 or 2 toys a month to donate at Christmas time this year. I want to have 24 toys to donate. It takes planning and catching things on sale, but I’m always thinking about what I will donate at Christmas – always. Still…planning ahead is the only thing that will help us during this economic crunch that America is in.
Yes, things are tough right now – but so many more people have it worse off than I can even imagine and that is where we can pull together to make a difference!
Let’s start preparing for the Magic of Christmas during the entire month of July. We need companies and individuals that will say I’m going to commit to collect toys for others and be a part of Spreading Joy to these wonderful Children.
If your Organization is in the Charlotte-Metro Area and you can collect toys as a whole – May I suggest you put out boxes wrapped in Christmas Paper and send out a mass email, post signs or put a flier in their pay checks asking for toy donations through the month of July.
What about those that their organization is committed to another drive and you have individuals that want to help. Still collect the toys and then email me and we will make arrangements to pick them up. What about those of you that live outside of NC and want to make a difference and help with Spreading Joy? You have 2 options! You can make a donation safely through pay pal or you could put out a small Christmas Wrapped box, collect money and mail a check to me.
I believe that if everyone that looked at this web page – purchased 1 toy to donate – that we could make a difference and be apart of some exciting Christmas Magic!
We really need your help! Maybe your company would be willing to donate a large quantity of one item. Maybe you could go and purchase 100 footballs or 100 gift cards.
Here are some ideas to get you going. Remember, anything around the $10.00 value just to keep things equal. The last thing I want is hurt feelings on Christmas morning!

- $10.00 Gift Cards to McDonalds, Burger King or Wendys. Can you imagine the pride these children would feel when they said, “thanks Mom, but I’ll get my own dinner!”
What about a McDonald’s gift card drive? If you have a small company and feel a toy drive is too difficult to handle please consider a gift card drive.

If your company will allow you to start a toy collection for Spreading Joy – please print and post this sign above a large box that is wrapped with Christmas Paper and start collecting toys today! Help bring the magic of Christmas to several hundred boys and girls. Be creative and have fun giving – - Give a pizza party for the department that collects the most toys. Set a goal that your company will try and reach 100 toys for donation.
If you are outside of the North Carolina area and would like to help with Christmas Joy please consider donating safely through Paypal. You could set up a small Christmas Present for others to drop their change in – and then donate at the end of the month! Would not only help with gifts, but would also help raise awareness about Spreading Joy Corporation!
