Help Deliver JOY & Hope This Christmas!
WOW – This event was absolutely AWESOME!! Thank you to so many who volunteered their time, helped me when I was snowed in VA, donated food, toys, collected toys and just put your heart into making a difference for others.

It’s TIME for CHRISTMAS again! Wow, can you believe it? The decorations are out, the music is playing and the Christmas hats are popping up every where! So very exciting!
Or is it?
For many of us it IS exciting. The giving of gifts is a wonderful thought. For others, though, it is a heart breaking thought. Many single moms are wondering how they will provide for their children. Many families that are still feeling the sting of layoffs, job loss and the unemployment check that is no longer available.
Spreading Joy wants to extend a helping hand to help bring joy this Christmas season to some wonderful children that deserve to have mile wide smiles on Christmas morning. Trouble is, we can NOT do it alone. We need you. We need partners. We need help. Plain and simple. There is strength in numbers and the more help we have, the MERRIER this Christmas will be for some kids.
We would like to invite some families from our area and ladies, along with their children from a local Battered Women’s Shelter to a dinner. They can eat, relax and then while the children are decorating some pre-made cupcakes, the adults can pick out a few gifts for their child, take them to a gift wrapping station and have them wrapped so that when they get home, the gift can be placed under the tree for Christmas Morning.
Can YOU imagine the excitement as the children walk out carrying their gifts that they will open on Christmas morning? I wish I could share the sparkle of JOY in their eyes with you. I wish I could allow you to enjoy the hugs that will be given. My heart wants to give so much to these children, but again, I need help.
How can you help? Glad you asked!
Are you in or near the Charlotte – Metro area? Start a toy collection in your organization for Spreading Joy. I’ll meet you to pick up the toys and gift cards. The gifts need to be valued around $10.00. Now, this doesn’t mean you have to pay $10.00 for it – especially if it is on sale! $10.00 gift cards to national places such as McDonalds, Wal-Mart, Target etc. are always wonderful.
If you are outside of the Charlotte area and believe in Spreading Joy and what we do here, consider making a financial donation. We will use every bit of it to purchase gifts for these boys and girls from you! This can be a one time donation using our handy, dandy Pay Pal button over there on the left, or maybe you are in a position that you can make a monthly commitment and help us to do more for others throughout the entire year.

If you are out of Charlotte and want to help Spreading Joy your company could do a “GIFT CARD Drive” and collect $10.00 gift cards for us to use. This is especially helpful for teen boys! Most national places work best, McDonalds, Wal-Mart, Target etc.
