Verizon Wireless is dedicated to helping the many men and women that are affected by domestic violence. It’s an epidemic that isolates the victim and Verizon is making it easier for them to get and stay connected.
By collecting no longer used wireless phones and accessories they turn them into support for domestic violence organizations nationwide.
They have donated over 180,000 phones since 2001!
Refurbished phones that have 3,000 anytime minutes of airtime and texting capabilities from Verizon’s nationwide coverage.
You can donate at a Verizon Wireless Communications Store, through the hopeline program or through the mail and Verizon will send you a postage-paid label.
It doesn’t get any easier than this.
Do you have unused cell phones just hanging out in a drawer collecting dust? Do some good with it! Donate it and know that you are helping others along the way!
Visit Verizon’s Hopeline page and do your part to empower the victims of domestic violence.
If you are in danger, please use a safer computer, or call 911, your local hotline, or the U.S. National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233(SAFE) and TTY 1-800-787-3224.

I actually had not heard of this before but that is a great program. Great job on Verizon’s behalf too, to be involved with something like that.
