You may be surprised to know that I’m just not a techy kind of gal. I know enough to be dangerous and generally when technology and I fight… it (technology) typically wins out. I’m just a simple gal that loves life to the fullest. I love simple treasures that bring great JOY.
Switching to a different phone is generally time consuming for me and I dread it.
Thankfully I’m a Verizon Client and they have amazing workshops as well as the online Insider’s Guide.
I’ve used the iphone 4s for the past several years but now I’ve been given the opportunity to check out the Nokia Lumia Icon – A Windows phone.
I was impressed with it right out of the box. The sleek design and the larger screen is a huge plus. After turning it on and seeing the screen with all of the “new” tiles I decided that this looked easy enough and started the “startup” process.
It was very easy and user friendly. I did watch a few videos about this phone as I find that is always helpful.
I love the ease of using this phone. I love the color choices for the background/tiles. The tiles are easy to move and re-size so that I can have the things I use the most up top and the size that I love. I really love the fact that I have Microsoft Word and Excel right at my fingertips. Not having to wait until I get home so that I can add to or edit a document is a wonderful thing.
There are many awesome apps that come pre-loaded, so no searching for those (a huge time saver).
My favorite feature about the Nokia Lumia Icon phone is the camera. A ginormous 20 mp camera allows me to take amazing photos.
I love taking pictures as I feel that capturing memories is the greatest treasure ever.
I love the bright, beautiful and amazing details I get with the camera on this phone. There were a few preloaded apps for photo editing. One of them even allows you to make your photo move. Pretty neat feature. I used it to make some angel wings move back and forth.
(The above photo was taken when we were exploring a little town outside of Asheville NC. Other than adding the Spreading Joy Watermark, no other editing was done. Amazing pictures!)
Many people are moving from lap tops to tablets and I would imagine that this phone would sync up nicely with the Surface tablet.
Very easy to use, durable and great quality. Are you using the Nokia Icon Lumia? If so what are the things you love the most about it?
I know cell phones are for talking and with Verizon behind me, I never worry about the quality of calls.
I treasure so many things and amazing photos are at the very top of the list! Thanks Nokia for a great product!
