Spreading Joy is about doing what you can, where you are with what you have.
We know that most people can’t go in and pay off every single lay-a-way but are so thankful for those that can and do.
We know that most people can’t hand out $100.00 bills but are so thankful for those that can and do.
We know that most people are struggling to make it week by week and are looking for ways to make a difference that will not break the bank AND we get that. We have lived that.
Do you know that our volunteers are just like you? We have been without jobs, without food and even homeless?
Do you know that our volunteers face chronic illnesses and struggle daily to just make it through the day and yet, they still make a difference.
We all have a choice about making a difference. We can choose to feel as though there is nothing we can do or we can look at our own resources, talents and gifts and use those to impact the lives of others and NOT feel guilty for not being able to do more.
THAT is Spreading Joy.
Doing anything else is allowing Guilt to steal your joy and is simply non-productive and not worth it. You are wasting your gifts and someone is missing out on a blessing that only you can give.
You don’t need a reason to be kind.
You don’t need a reason to make a difference.
Be kind and make a difference just because you can.
That IS Spreading Joy!

My husband on Saturday was definitely spreading joy. Him and a few people from my church were handing out care bags to homeless people in Seattle.

YES! God does give us great gifts to use and our experiences we can use to uplift those that are going through what we have crossed through. Volunteers are lovely people with big hearts. Keep up the great work.

Great reminder that we can all spread joy in small ways every day, just as others can do big things – all efforts to spread joy are worth it.
Absolutely true Marissa! It doesn’t have to be ginormous – just from the heart

Absolutely! Love this! Sometimes we make it so complicated, and it doesn’t have to be 🙂 Thanks for sharing! -xx Anna
It is so true! We don’t need to grieve where we are or that we can’t do more, just do with what we’ve been blessed with. That is all God asks of us.
