i eat up the words of the Psalter. They sing to my soul. I have gotten in the habit of reading a psalm before bed each night. The One who never slumbers nor sleeps sustains our earth and lives as we rest in eight-hour safety. In suffering, I have prayed the psalms. In rejoicing, I have sang them. In confusion, they have led me to the rock that is higher than me. In seeking, psalm 119 has etched it’s longing heart into mine. Thank you, Marie! This is great encouragement.
Thanks for this comprehensive list of verses to bring us comfort! Blessings to you, Marie!
I love this! I am printing copies to give to my teens (I have five!) to keep in their Bibles, journals, wherever. Such awesome reminders when we allow ourselves to be swept away with life.
