The Chance to Choose by Kim Galgano
The Chance to Choose is a practical book about the choices we make intertwined with real life choices from Kim’s life.
Practical because it gives us 5 basic steps that she has named the Jeremiah Method.
Practical because it is full of honest emotions, true life decisions and has something that everyone can relate with.
Practical because we all face choices every day and no matter what, in the end what we choose to do is our responsibility. We can spend a lifetime making excuses, but we all have a Chance to Choose.
Kim lays out the Jeremiah Method (based on Jeremiah 6:16) and goes through them. Knowing that we as women are overcome with choice after choice after choice, she reminds us that “God wants to paint a masterpiece with your choices. Are you ready to stand and look for the crossroads?”
This is a great book to read alone, or with a group. Kim gives us discussion questions at the end of each chapter so that we can put our thoughts, choices and actions down.
We all make choices but many of us don’t “own” them, because we can so easily make excuses.
Kim asks “Are the choices you make today setting you up for freedom or slavery down the road?”
It’s been my pleasure to interact with Kim via Social Media for the better part of 5 years now. She is fun, down to earth and has a huge heart for the Lord and others.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a review. I am not required to give a positive review as all opinions expressed are my own.
Do you struggle with your decisions? Do you “spend much time attempting to undo…fix…or gain some sense of control over last week’s poor choice?” Are you intentional?
I’m giving away a signed copy of Kim’s Book! All you have to do is leave a comment below with your thoughts about the choices you make.
Some Favorite Quotes:
- Choosing to actually act on our decisions is monumental
- We must retrain ourselves. We must commit to actively choose, so the choosing is not done for us
- We need Christ-esteem
- Give myself permission to make the fun choice when the outcome didn’t matter
- Rest is the direct result of an abiding nearness with God

Very interesting. Do you think this is a book for women specifically or a group could go through it?
I’m always looking for new options for a group study my husband and I lead, so I was just curious.
Thanks!
Marissa
Marissa, Personally I would think it’s ok for both women and men. We all have choices to make and we all make them differently.
I do have a problem with replaying my poor choices over and over and trying to fix them. It’s one of the things I do at night when I can’t sleep. This sounds like a great, helpful read.

This sounds intriguing. I am not one to read books like this but the Jeremiah Method has me curious!

Lately because things have been going what seems to me to be ‘wrong’, I am very hesitant about the choices I make. I pray a lot and ask God to guide me…to give me spirit of confidence and faith rather than a doubting spirit.
