Would you be willing to write children every month and encourage them?
Knowing the power of getting an encouraging note in the mail, we want to use that to be a huge encouragement to the children of Spreading Joy!
In 2016 we started sending each child a Birthday Card with an encouraging note. (Thank you Sarah!) The children absolutely loved it! You may be reading this and think it’s such a small thing but trust me when I say, this is H U G E!
Please consider volunteering for this!
Here is what will happen:
- Fill out the form below and let us know your information
- We will email you their names and age (8 children a month) so that you can send age appropriate encouragement.
- You’ll write them either with a card, stationary, post card or just regular paper, put their name on it and a stamp (if you can do so) and then mail all of them in a one larger envelope back to me at PO Box 1771 Denver NC 28037
- I will get your letters, address them and drop them off in the mail.
- The next month you’ll get a different set of names. Our goal is to have you write all of our children. We have a core group of about 80ish.
Yes, you can include a book mark and/or a few stickers. Just make sure it would be ok with one stamp.
Anyone can do this! You can make this a family affair! Order pizza, some stickers and have an evening where everyone writes every child! Can you imagine how surprised these children will be?

I’ve done something similar with kids a few times. It’s pretty fun and a great way to get them into service.
It is and kids receiving cards from other kids is just so much fun Tara!
