I see me chopping one of those trees down to build a fire, beautiful photo but it looks cold!
I’m reminded of the TV production company logo where the kid points and says, “What’s that mean?”
looks like a safe place…a place to get out of the snow for a bit, a place for food (if it is friut or nut type of tree)
Or most importantly it looks quiet…a place to go to when my 16 yo is having a meltdown and is unable to speak in a humanly manner…who to send??? me or her???
Although the image is in black and white, my first thought was to see the image in color …
Beautiful green trees (oasis) in the midst of a wintry, cold, dry, possibly dead place. To me, the trees (oasis) represent the Lord and ALL of His goodness, amazing sustenance, and awesomeness to provide whatever we need no matter how cold, dry, bleak, hopeless, sad, etc our situation is or could be. Oh how I praise Him for that!!!
I see a nice steak and fries. OOps.. (on a diet!).
Ok so maybe i see an oasis for confused penguins. Confused, because penguins would not be there and they would be lost. But, it would be an oasis anyways!

I can see desolation and perseverance. It is Cold and lonely, but trees are putting down roots and growing regardless of the circumstances.
It amazes me at just how much can be seen in photos like this!

so – here is what I saw when I first looked at it. I saw solitude, but felt that there was no aloneness here. I know, I know..crazy but true. maybe because its the peaceful solitude of coming apart and resting awhile.
